"Our philosophy at Chestertown Orthopedics focuses heavily on patient education, manual hands-on therapy and a strong home exercise program to help patients regain control of their conditions and lives."
Physical Therapy is a branch of health care which is dedicated to improve a person's function, specifically relating to the neuromusculoskeletal systems. This is accomplished by a Physical Therapist. A PT can improve your life by helping to improve your symptoms of pain, weakness, difficulty walking, or decreased mobility. While helping to improve your symptoms, your Physical Therapist should also be addressing the source of the problem. This may, for example, relate to poor work posture, a structural abnormality, or an underlying medical issue. An attuned PT will help fix the source of your problem and report this and any concerns back to your physician. In these ways and more, your PT can work to help solve your problems.
